Crater Lake

Crater Lake is the focal point of Crater Lake National Park in Klamath, County, Oregon. The park covers 183,224 acres, including Crater Lake. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the U.S. at 1,949 feet deep and known as deep water in a sleeping volcano. Mount Mazama, a 12,000-foot-tall volcano, erupted and collapsed approximately 7,700 years ago and formed Crater Lake. Crater Lake has no rivers or streams flowing into it.
